Bodycare products are, quite simply, what they are made of.
Whether healthy or harmful, effective or not, depends on what's in them.
We feel it's very important that you can make informed choices about the products you use.
On the Product Details page for each product we list all of the ingredients in alphabetical order by Common Name.
Listing in alphabetical order makes it easier to see at a glance whether a product contains a particular ingredient (which you may especially like - or want to avoid), and to compare the ingredients of different products.
This Dictionary provides information about every ingredient in every product we sell. It also allows you to find all the products we stock that contain a particular ingredient.
In Europe, toiletries and cosmetics manufacturers are required to list on the packaging a product's ingredients in decreasing order by weight (at the time of packaging).

These lists should use the ingredients' INCI names. INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) is a system of naming waxes, oils, chemicals and othersubstances used in toiletries, cosmetics and related products based on scientific, Latin and English (Common) names.
Most manufacturers now follow the European Union requirements for listing ingredients and use the INCI naming system.
However, on products sold in the EU by some non-European manufacturers ingredients are listed using non-INCI or a mixture of INCI and non-INCI systems. This can be confusing.
Some, particularly botanical, ingredients have several different names which are used interchangeably or inaccurately.
Ingredients are listed here in alphabetical order by their common name(s) followed by the INCI name. Clicking more info... displays a description of what the ingredient does and in some cases how it was produced and a little background information .
